What's Happening This Month

Peanut picturepeanut butter rally
Fill the barrel in the narthex with peanut butter this month. Creamy or crunchy, big or small…Bring it in!!! 9000 jars of peanut butter are being collected by Rock River Valley Pantry to be used for kids' lunches during the summer months.

COMMENTS newsletter has gone digital. Due to the increased costs of paper and postage, we have switched to email distribution of our newsletter and weekly news updates, and we will be happy to add you to our subscriber list. If a printed copy is still your preference, please let the church office know and we will continue to provide you with that service.

The Progoff Intensive Journal Method of Self-Development workshop will be held on May 31st and June 1st here at Spring Creek UCC, and also at Garden Prairie UCC on June 14th and 15th. The cost is $125.00 per session. Brochures and registration forms are available at both churches, or by downloading our current newsletter.

Adopt a Garden Bed! The sign-up chart has been posted to mulch and weed your favorite area of the Spring Creek memorial gardens. Please volunteer to help keep our grounds beautiful this summer. Remember what 40 yards of bark mulch looks like? There are plenty of jobs for guys with chainsaws and power tools, too.

Our Services and How We Worship
Come on Sunday at 10:30 a.m. Worship in our light-filled sanctuary with a service of singing and instrumental music, praying, reading, and reflecting. Dress in whatever manner you are most comfortable – lots of us prefer casual attire. You may expect to hear spirit-filled music, spontaneous sharing of both joys and concerns, and messages that you can relate to your daily life. A staffed nursery is available for little ones under age five. Our sanctuary, fellowship areas, and restrooms are easily accessible for those with mobility challenges.

  • Communion is served on the first Sunday of the month. All are welcome to partake in the sacraments. Those who participate may choose between wine and non-alcoholic grape juice, and gluten-free wafers are provided in addition to bread.
  • On the second Sunday of each month, our service includes a time of peaceful meditation during which those who wish to share personal concerns with the pastor may come forward for anointing and Healing Prayer.
  • Following the service at about 11:45 AM, there is a time of fellowship, coffee, and refreshments in our Fireside Room. Our members love to celebrate birthdays and anniversaries!
